After I read the review from ah xian on this Chili Pan Mee at Taman Connaught, Connie and I decided to give it a try on this weekend. We went there today at 8.30 morning just to avoid the crowd because I have read a comment from a blogger that she has waited for 70 minutes just for a bowl of this Pan Mee.

We reached there around 9.15 am, the crowd still ok but still can see few customers was waiting to be seated. Anyway, we able to find our seat in 5 minutes and then straight order the food, of course is Dry Chili Pan Mee lo…
After waited for 20 minutes, our food was ready…. breakfast time…

This is the shop. Just like a normal Coffee shop.

Our Drinks

Connie was reading newspaper while waiting for the food

Yes.. This is the dry chili Pan Mee. Look at the half boiled egg… Yummy

The Chili. Not so spicy for me

I wanted to try Yaki Yaki restaurant all this while and finally today I have make it to there. I have been to quite a lot of Japanese restaurant like Umaiya, Teji, Jogoya and now Yaki yaki. Basically Yaki yaki is having different concept compare to others where they are serving salted chicken, beef, mutton and other food and vege for the barbeque purpose.

Frankly speaking, it’s really not my cup of tea as I would prefer more ready food and more food variety for me to choose. Obviously the choice of food over there is lesser and taste of the food is so so only. Anyway, it’s only my personal preference, other people may find their foods tasty.

The charges for the lunch ( 11am – 3pm) is RM42 (all in). For paying this price, I would rather go to Umaiya which is around RM 50. But as I said, this is only my personal preference and other may love Japanese’s barbeque concept.

Yaki yaki is located just next to Federal hotel and Low yat

I had been to NZX for few times but never been to Fullhouse Cafe which is having a quite attractive shop exterior with a dummy Mini Infront of their shop. They choose white as their theme color, the decoration inside will make you feeling that you are in a boutiqe with all sort of clothes and accesories. This Lifetysle store cum cafe is just at the corner of the center NZX and you won’t miss it if you so happen to be there. The only bad thing is…. it is a bit run down and most of the shop there have ended their business as there is no crowd at all and the sreet look like a dead town. I believe this even make Fullhouse Cafe more outstanding among the shops because of their unique design and their business also consider quite good.

It is worth to pay a visit because of the nice food and the excellent environment there. The price is reasonable on the food & beverage, just that the portion is slightly smaller.

Almost 2 months I didn’t go back to Malacca and the last time i went home should be the last chinese new year. I miss my parents very much and of course the local food of malacca. Duck mee and pork satay are my favorite and is a must eat food for me whenever I go back to malacca. Though the shop never been mentioned by any newspaper for their food ( as far as I know ),they always my choice when I’m looking for food.

Initially, I planned to try the “Putu Piring” which was recommended by axian. I didn’t even know that there is a famous putu piring in Malacca, what a shammed for being malaccan for the more than 30 years. But I was so disappointed when found out that the shop will close for one month due to the owner’s health problem.Never mind, I definitely will go and try again next month.

So no choice, back to my favorite duck mee again this time.

Sharing some photos here for my “makan” session

1. The workers who were preparing my delicious duck mee.

2. Finally my duck mee is here…. Yeah!!!

The next day, before heading back to KL. We went for our favorite Pork satay located near Mahkota Parade – Malacca. If you are the lover of the pork intestine and the spare part of the pork, then this is a place you must go and try. They are famous for the pork satay which is quite hard to get in KL and the specialty of their satay is its peanut sauce because they mix it with some pineapple and it giving a sour n spicy taste! The flavour is so unique and I love it so much

1. I ordered 15 sticks of pork satay and one “ketupat”
